Welcome to the Richibucto River, a vibrant community where the salty tides of the Northumberland Strait merges with the fresh waters of numerous tributaries and creates a unique eco-system home to a large variety of fish and wildlife.

Richibucto River is historically noted as an important part of the Inland Hunting Grounds of Mi'kmaq.

Fox, coyote, deer, moose and black bears abound in this part of the Atlantic Fowl Waterway.

Richibucto River shares it's origin at Coal Lake with New Brunswick's world famous Salmon River and is sometimes called "The birth place of all the fish in the Miramichi".

New Brunswick Black Bear Hunting Opportunities

Travel along dirt roads that might lead to nowhere and be surrounded by the ancient Acadian Forest.

Visit 200 year old farm lands nestled along the banks of the Richibucto River and it's tributaries.

Richibucto is called the "River of Fire" possibly because it runs east/west and has an exceptional view of the sun and moon along with an occassional glimpse of the northern lights.
